Awards 2011
The Australian golf industry was out in force in the Melbourne Cricket Club dining room on February 16 for the 2011 Drummond Golf awards.
Hosted by Brett Ogle, the evening was attended by all the key suppliers to Drummond Golf, Golf Australia officials and Drummond Golf franchisees from stores around Australia.
And the winner says… In presenting the Supplier of the Year award to Paul Roser from American Golf Supplies (PING), Drummond Golf managing director Mark Abeyaratne thanked all suppliers and franchisees for making 2011 such a successful year despite a challenging economic environment.
The nominees for Franchisee of the Year were Cambridge, Cheltenham, Frankston, Osborne Park and Traralgon with the trophy going to Cheltenham and accepted by Gary Oswald.
There was a mix of regular and first time winners in the various categories. Lincoln Ferrari from Bendigo won the regional full-time salesperson of the year for the second time in a row and Cassie Blazely from Launceston also completed a double with her second regional part-time salesperson of the year.
First time winners included Warrawong, winning the Best Presented Store award and Mildura winning the Drummond Club Store of the Year award.
