Simpson finds his
Open fire in the belly

You can find the evidence in any tournament – and the US Open proved again the importance of putting when Webb Simpson rolled in six in a row during the middle part of his final round. Four birdies and two par saves set up his come-from-behind victory while all around him others faltered.
This month in Beyond The Fairways, we celebrate the bond between a golfer and his putter as we look at many of the new “wands” on the market. Simpson is another of the growing band to favour the belly putter and Keegan Bradley last year became the first major winner to use a broomstick. But no matter what style you favour, there’s some fabulous new putters on the market that can help turn your game around.
In our We’ll Lift Your Game segment, Royal Melbourne golf professional Richard Hatt devotes his coaching tips to the long and short of putting. Also in this month’s edition of our online magazine, we give you the chance to win a $500 Drummond Golf Gift Card by answering three easy questions. They are easy, because you can find the answers simply by looking through the stories in this edition.
We have a strong China presence in this edition with a look at the latest LPGA major winner, Shanshan Feng and a travel story on the amazing Mission Hills complex. As always we hope you enjoy this edition and look forward to your feedback. And finally, there’s still time to get to your nearest Drummond Golf store to take advantage of our June Stocktake sale.
