This is a great GPS for anyone who regularly plays their own course. It really helps to improve course management.
If you're on a new course or away on a tour, it works really well when coupled with a course guide - and for the money you save between this model and more complex ones, you can buy a lot of $5 course guides!
Downloading courses is the only bugger.

Handy sized device with great accuracy on the distances BUT.... this unit only provides distances to the green (front, centre & back). Might be great for your approach shot and on the par 3's but doesn't help on the longer holes when you're on the tee thinking "Can I clear those traps, water, etc.. or do I lay up?". Other GPS units on the market will give you these kind of shot & ball saving distances. Not to mention possibly also a map of the hole.
Anothe downside is the battery life. I find it gets aroudn 18 holes but bad luck if you're out for a 36 hole battle. You'll be recharging in the clubhouse over lunch. Oh, and the courses need to be downloaded from the Sureshot website which is another limitation and also requires you to pay a subscription fee.
Overall - good sized, accurate GPS but its functionality is limited. I've seen plenty better and am now on the market for a better unit.
