TaylorMade New 2021 Spider Family - Spider EX, Spider X Hydro Blast, Spider S and Spider SR

NEW GEAR

2021 TaylorMade Spider Family

TaylorMade’s acclaimed Spider Franchise now includes four new putter designs—Spider EX, Spider X Hydro Blast, Spider S and Spider SR.

The new class of Spider putters includes TaylorMade’s True Path alignment system to make it easier to aim. Each model offers something unique to best suit all golfer profiles.

Spider EX is confidence you can feel. With its slightly larger head when compared to the Spider X, the new EX design includes a streamlined shape, softer lines and a rounded back. In addition to heavy tungsten weights at the rear, EX is fitted with two 28g steel weights near the heel and the toe. EX’s lightweight frame offers strategically placed perimeter weighting to promote more forgiveness for consistent roll off the putter face. Better roll and feel traits are enhanced with TaylorMade’s new Pure Roll insert—it’s the company’s first multi-material insert made with co-molded construction. Adding to this putter’s feel properties, EX reveals TM’s all-new Fluted Feel shaft, which includes a soft tip section designed to improve touch on the greens. Stroking the putt along the intended path is made easier with TM’s optically engineered True Path alignment system making it more visible to aim. EX features a reflective white color that spans the putter's topline. This allows golfers to use the face for alignment. And, to promote a consistent address position, three dots are enclosed by dual rails are used to center the ball.

Spider X Hydro Blast offers proven performance with all-new flare. It builds on the tradition of the successful Spider X—TaylorMade’s best-selling model. X Hydro Blast boasts a smooth premium finish in a rich silver colour. The new look putter head was created through the high-pressure application of water to its aluminum body. This finishing process and the absence of paint allow the putter to be more durable and more resistant to scratches. X Hydro Blast shares the same advanced multi-construction as the original tour proven Spider X with the combination of aluminum, steel and tungsten weights and composite center built to optimise stability. X Hydro Blast includes TaylorMade’s True Path design and the company’s white TPU Pure Roll insert.

Spider S & Spider SR present high stability for forgiveness. The Spider S model was first introduced by TaylorMade in 2020. The company has updated the most forgiving model in the Spider Family with a new arrow-shaped True Path alignment system. The newly engineered design makes it easier for golfers to aim their putts and was inspired by archery’s pinpoint accuracy. The machine milled square-shaped Spider S putter head is made from high-grade aluminum and is outfitted with two 42g sole weights. These weights are carefully placed near the toe and the heel to best stabilise the putter during each stroke. A heavy tungsten backbar further enhances swing weight.

Spider SR is a tour-inspired double winged shaped putter that delivers improved feel and performance. Designed with a smaller footprint when compared to the Spider S, Spider SR contains two back weights to optimse swing weight. True Path alignment system is positioned within the cavity behind the putter face. Spider S and Spider SR include TPU Pure Roll insert for a soft feel. And, both models are equipped with TaylorMade’s all-new Fluted Feel shaft to deliver forgiveness and putter stability.
