Bannon & Khodragha Claim Drummond Golf Cup NSW Championships
On Friday November 6, Gabby Bannon and Mo Khodragha earned their spot at the Drummond Golf Cup National Final after firing sensational individual rounds at the picturesque St Michael's GC.
Bannon lit up the coastal layout producing the best individual stableford score by the entire field with a staggering 43 points. The Barnwell Park GC member with a handicap of 23, won the Drummond Golf Cup NSW Women's Championship by a whopping eight points. Amanda McLean claimed the runner up spot with 35 points to narrowly edge three players by one shot. Fiona Mildren, Di Eldrick and Karen Christensen each scored 34 points.
Khodragha, a member at Concord GC with a handicap of 4, scored 42 points to take out the Drummond Golf Cup NSW Men's Championship on countback to Cameron Rogers. Chris McTaggart carded 40 points for solo third place. Grant Johnson and Simon Probets each scored 39 points.
Bannon and Khodragha will compete at the Drummond Golf Cup National Final to be staged at the magnificent Peninsula Kingswood Golf Club on December 3, 2024.
Brett Ogle was on hand to manage the day. The Drummond Golf Ambassador also helped to raise funds for Lifeline Australia. The event collected more than $2,500 for Lifeline Australia.
