Bernhard Langer Signs With Tour Edge

Golfing legend Bernhard Langer has signed a multiyear agreement with leading golf manufacturer Tour Edge. The Hall of Famer, who became the first ‘official’ world No. 1 ranked golfer, joins Tour Edge professional staff members Tom Lehman, Scott McCarron, Tim Petrovic and Duffy Waldorf.

At the 2020 Masters in November, the 63-year-old German carried a Tour Edge Exotics EXS Pro Hybrid in his bag to successfully navigate the challenging Augusta National fairways and become the oldest player in Masters history to make the cut.

Langer, the No. 1 ranked player on the PGA Tour Champions, will work closely with Tour Edge engineers to personalise his fit out for the new Tour Edge Exotics driver, fairway metals, hybrids and a complete set of Exotics irons and wedges.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun working with this team on maximising performance and getting into some of their really innovative technology,” said Langer. "I'm extremely excited to be joining the Tour Edge staff, they have been truly incredible to work with as I start updating my equipment. I have been playing many of the clubs in my bag for a long time and when I started working with Tour Edge out on the PGA Tour Champions, I realised that they were the best option to getting me exactly what I needed to continue to perform at the highest level,” he added.

Tour Edge President and founder David Glod was equally excited with the new deal. “To be able to sign this awe-inspiring icon to our professional staff is a crowning achievement in our 35 years as a golf brand. He's one of the very best players to ever play the game, so to have him trust Tour Edge to keep him at the top is something we are extremely proud of.”

To help promote the brand to the masses of golf fans around the globe, Langer will carry a Tour Edge Exotics staff bag and wear the Tour Edge logo on his right sleeve.

Langer, who boasts 45 wins on the PGA and European Tours and 41 victories on the PGA Tour Champions, will make his debut as a Tour Edge Staff player at the PGA Tour Champions Cologuard Classic in Tucson February 25th.
