Apex UW
Callaway has released the Apex UW—it’s the company’s Tour-validated high-performance utility wood that boasts optimal versatility and power.
Callaway engineers worked with the likes of Phil Mickelson to develop this impressive multi-purpose club. The six-time major champion has been using the Apex UW in competition since June. The result of the collaboration between ‘Lefty’ and other professional golfers is the development of a new ‘go-to’ club that affords players improved reliability from the tee, fairway, or rough.
The stunning-looking Apex UW displays a distinct clubhead profile inspired by feedback from Tour pros. The clean and compact clubhead presents a workable appearance to allow players the confidence to shape their shots for better control.
Apex UW is fully loaded with proven and advanced technologies for maximum power and performance. These include Callaway’s very own Jailbreak Artificial Intelligence Velocity Blades, AI Designed Flash Face SS21 and Forged C300 Face Cup.
Jailbreak AI Velocity Blades provide vertical stiffness near the sole of the club. This creates more ball speed low on the face for improved distance from mishits shots. The blades improve spin rate consistency by allowing the Face Cup to flex on the crown. Enhanced forgiveness across the entire face is another benefit of this clever Callaway breakthrough.
AI Designed Flash Face SS21 is a trusted ball speed technology. Apex UW uses artificial intelligence to uniquely design every loft for faster ball speed on center and off-center ball-striking. A Forged Face Cup uses a high strength C300 Maraging Steel for increased ball speed as well as spin rate consistency across the entire strike zone.
Apex UW average 18 grams of Tungsten Weighting. Callaway engineers used the mass to position the club’s center of gravity in a neutral location. This precise placement provides a high launch, steep landing angle for improved stopping ability, reliable spin characteristic and a reduced draw bias for remarkable accuracy into the fairway or the green.
