The new Callaway Epic Super is the brand’s fastest ball speed hybrid. The impressive long-game weapon shares the DNA and the know-how of Callaway’s Epic Drivers. An Artificial Intelligence designed Flash face, a titanium body and a triaxial carbon crown are validated and powerful foundations passed on to this superb hybrid via Callaway’s award-winning drivers. Callaway used its Artificial Intelligence Designed Flash Face design for proven ball speed for both on-center and off-center shots.
In addition, Epic Super features Callaway’s groundbreaking hybrid advancements. Designers used the company’s innovative Jailbreak Artificial Intelligence Velocity Blades to stiffen the body of the clubhead. It means even mishit shots low on the clubface create more ball speed. The Velocity Blades also promote better spin rate consistency and more forgiveness across the entire face. Callaway engineers used an extreme amount of tungsten weighting (up to 90 grams), which they positioned toward the perimeter of the clubhead. The location of the weighting creates a low center of gravity for a higher and a more powerful penetrating ball flight. The carefully placed tungsten weighting also increases the stability of the clubhead at impact for greater forgiveness.
For golfers seeking adjustability to optimise the launch, ball flight and control of their shot making, Epic Super Hybrids are fitted with Callaway’s lightweight OptiFit3 Hosel.
