Launcher XL Irons
Cleveland Golf proudly introduces Launcher XL Irons. The new irons complete the Cleveland Launcher XL range with the brand releasing XL Drivers, XL HALO Irons, XL HALO Fairway Woods and XL HALO Hybrids late in 2021.
Launcher XL Irons are designed to make a huge boost to the performance of game improvement golfers seeking more forgiveness, better accuracy and optimal ball flight.
Cleveland Golf research and development team used a number of key innovations to construct its pin-seeking Launcher XL Irons to help golfers build trust into their game and fire lower scores.
Having the belief to execute a solid iron-shot begins with visual assurance at address. The new Launcher XL Irons feature a new extra large head design—it’s a confidence inspiring shape that was specifically developed to offer more certainty to golfers looking to find more greens in regulation. The large head design delivers 15% more high-toe moment of inertia compared to the previous generation. MOI measures the amount of resistance the club has to twisting. The higher the reading, the more forgiving the club will play. The new Launcher XL boasts a MOI reading that is the most ever in the brand’s game-improvement iron models.
Launcher XL Irons are built with Cleveland Golf’s MainFrame technology to generate increased ball speed for added distance to all shots. Using artificial intelligence, MainFrame discovers the optimal shape and weighting for each clubface by varying the thickness pattern behind every iron face. Launcher XL long irons contain a hollow body for longer distance and more forgiveness. Short irons include a cavity back for better control to approach the pin.
Cleveland Golf engineers placed an 8gram weight inside the end of the grip to better balance each iron for more control. This process is known as Action Mass CB technology and better enables golfers to square up the clubface at impact without additional effort.
Launcher XL Irons contain a V-Shaped Sole with an elevated leading edge for maximum clubhead speed and power at impact. This crafty design cuts through the turf with less drag for a better ball strike.
And, Launcher XL Irons are etched with loft-specific grooves for the best performance from every club. The focus for the 4- to 7-iron is to maximise distance and therefore contains wider, flatter grooves. While, the 8-iron to wedges seek to improve control and stopping power and feature closely spaced and deeper grooves for high spinning results.
