Complete Guide To Golf Bag Types

Complete Guide To Golf Bag Types

Golf bags come in different shapes and sizes, and each serves a unique purpose on the course. Golfers typically choose between three types of bags: stand bags, staff bags, and cart bags.

Stand bags are designed for golfers who prefer to walk the course. They're lightweight and have a built-in stand that keeps the bag upright when not in use. They usually have two shoulder straps that allow the golfer to carry the bag comfortably. Stand bags are typically smaller than staff or cart bags and can hold around 14 clubs.

Staff bags are the largest and most luxurious of the three types of golf bags. They're designed for professional golfers and have plenty of space to carry extra gear, like rain gear, towels, and extra balls. Staff bags are usually carried by caddies and have a long, single strap that goes over the caddie's shoulder.

Cart bags are designed to be used with golf carts. They're larger than stand bags and have more pockets for storing accessories. Cart bags also have a strap system that secures the bag to the golf cart, preventing it from moving around during play. They can hold up to 14 clubs and are heavier than stand bags.

In summary, stand bags are ideal for golfers who prefer to walk the course, staff bags are used by professional golfers and their caddies, and cart bags are designed for use with golf carts. Each type of golf bag serves a unique purpose, so golfers should choose the bag that best fits their needs on the course.
