Drummond Golf Cup SA Championship 2023
Jaime Hards and Rick Li Win Drummond Golf Cup SA Championship
Jaime Hards and Rick Li have punched their tickets into the Drummond Golf Cup National Final after claiming the DGC SA Championship titles at Tea Tree Gully Golf Club on Friday July 21.
Hards, playing off a daily handicap of two, won the women’s individual stableford competition with a sound 32 points. The 16-year-old Kooyonga Golf Club member headed Mia Luey by four points.
Rick Li enjoyed victory in the men’s stableford division with 39 points. Li overcame Stuary Callery and David Xie, who also scored 39 points, on a countback with a superb 23 points on the back nine.
Drummond Golf Ambassador Brett Ogle was at the par 3, 8th hole and dished out some handy tips as well as helping to raise $1000 for Lifeline Australia.
Hards and Li will join Anna and Dino Marzotto at the National Final to be staged in Victoria at the world-renowned Peninsula Kingswood Golf Club in December. The Marzotto’s won the DGC ACT Championship in March.
The Drummond Golf Cup moves to Brookwater Golf Club on July 28 for the DGC Queensland Championship.
