Stealth HD Irons
TaylorMade proudly unveils its all-new Stealth HD Irons, which were designed specifically to assist developing golfers achieve success in the game of golf.
The more forgiving, easy-to-launch Stealth HD iron took its design inspiration from the data with TaylorMade research including extensive product testing and countless in-depth interviews with game improvement golfers. This far-reaching approach allowed engineers to deliver performance where the golfer needs it most. Stealth HD long irons feature an ultra-low profile head shape to move the center of gravity lower and help players launch their longer shots. Stealth HD are built with progressive head sizes to optimise the performance of each iron with each club shaped incrementally larger from the 5-iron to the pitching wedge. The all-new shaping includes an increased sole radius and innovative step down design along the bottom of the club. TaylorMade’s testing supported the construction of a larger sole radius. The increased sole arc from heel to toe produced more shots high on the face, which resulted in higher launch. The revolutionary step down design reduces the amount of surface area that impacts with the turf for a boost in playability. Stealth HD features a draw-bias face—it’s a direct response to its fact seeking golfer interviews. The asymmetric new face design improves ball speeds and helps players achieve a straighter or draw shape ball flight. And, engineers crafted every Steath HD iron with increased loft to provide the optimal launch and spin with sacrificing distance. Incorporating higher lofts was approved after findings from TaylorMade’s simulation tool assessed the ideal loft for each iron to optimse carry distance, launch angle and spin at slow to moderate swing speeds.
Stealth HD irons boast a trio of proven TaylorMade technologies with Cap Back Design, a Thru Slot Speed Pocket and the ECHO Damping System incorporated in the all-new irons to produce a flexible and responsive face with exceptional feel.
