What’s In My Bag
Garrick Higgo
2021 Palmetto Championship at Congaree
South African Garrick Higgo stunned the golfing world after claiming the Palmetto Championship for his maiden PGA Tour win. It was just his second start on that tour. The 22-year-old became the first golfer in 33 years to score a victory on the PGA Tour from just two starts.
Higgo, who uses a full suite of Titleist gear in his bag, produced four consistent rounds of 68, 69, 68 and 68 to reach 11-under for the event. It was enough to claim a narrow one-shot victory over six players.
The three-time winner on the European Tour was superb into the greens at Congaree Golf Club. Higgo ranked 4th in the field for Greens in Regulation after finding the putting surface in 75% of attempts. Aided by his crisp iron play, the world No. 54 ranked T7 in the field for Most Birdies with 19.
With his win, Higgo has earned PGA Tour status through the 2022-2023 season
