What’s In My Bag
Justin Thomas
2021 The PLAYERS Championship
Justin Thomas won The PLAYERS Championship in record-breaking style.
The 27-year-old American, who is a Titleist brand ambassador, produced a ball-striking clinic to overcome Lee Westwood by one shot.
"I am so happy to be a PLAYERS champion," Thomas said after collecting his 14th PGA Tour title. “It was one of the best performances of my career from tee to green. I had total control of my ball.”
The now world No. 2 ranked golfer became the first PLAYERS Champion in 21 years to hit 17 greens in regulation in the final round. He tied the lowest closing 36-hole score in the event’s history with 64-68 (132) over the weekend. Thomas is just the second golfer in history (behind Tiger Woods) to own 10 or more PGA Tour titles, a major championship and the PLAYERS trophy—before the age of 28.
Thomas completed the four rounds at the Stadium Course, TPC Sawgrass in 14-under par using the NEW ProV1x golf ball and a full set of Titleist clubs.
