Cameron Smith
2022 The Open Championship
Cameron Smith came from four shots back to win his maiden major title at the 150th Open Championship. The 28-year-old Australian produced a flawless 8-under 64 final round to win golf’s oldest major by one shot.
Smith, who is a Titleist Brand Ambassador, posted rounds of 67, 64, 73 and 64 to reach 20-under. The remarkable tally matched the lowest score ever at The Open Championship in relation to par, set by Henrik Stenson in 2016 at Royal Troon. Staged at The Old Course at St Andrews, Smith made just two bogeys over the 72 holes while pouring in 22 birdies and one eagle during his dominant performance.
With his win, Smith jumps five places to 2nd position on the 2021/22 FedExCup standings.
