Joaquin Niemann
2021/22 The Genesis Invitational
Chile’s Joaquin Niemann produced his second PGA Tour victory at The Genesis Invitational. The 23-year-old scored his stunning two-shot win over one of the PGA Tour’s best fields and on one of the Tour’s toughest courses.
Niemann, one of PING’s staff players, carded of 63, 63, 68 and 71 at Riviera Country Club to reach 19-under. His final tally was just one shot off the event’s scoring record set by Lanny Watkins in 1985.
Niemann fired three eagles and amassed 21 birdies for the week. He was second in the field for Putt per Green in Regulation (1.55). And, 10th in Scrambling with a 76% success rate of getting up and down. With his win, Niemann moves to 7th place in the 2021/22 FedExCup standings.
