JT Poston
2021/22 John Deere Classic
JT Poston scored an impressive wire-to-wire victory at the John Deere Classic. After opening the event with a 9-under 62 on Thursday for a two-shot lead, the 29-year-old added rounds of 65, 67 and 69 to get to 21-under and win by three shots.
Poston, a Titleist brand ambassador, now owns two PGA Tour titles. He collected the 2019 Wyndham Championship where he became the first player since 1974 to win a PGA Tour event while going bogey-free all four rounds.
The world No. 99 produced 22 birdies and two eagles for the week. He led the field for Strokes Gained: Around the Green and Strokes Gained: Tee to Green.
With his win, Poston jumps 44 places to 22nd position on the 2021/22 FedExCup standings.
