Viktor Hovland
2021/22 World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba
Viktor Hovland continued his claim as one of the best young golfers in the world with his stunning win at the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba in Mexico. He has won this event two years running.
The 24-year-old Norwegian got to 23-under and scored a four-shot victory over Carlos Ortiz to record his third PGA Tour title.
Hovland led the field in Birdies with 28 including nine under par holes in round three en route to his impressive 62. All aspects of the young stars game where outstanding around the delightful El Camaleon Golf Club. For the week, Hovland ranked 4th in Driving Accuracy (73.21%). He ranked 7th in in Greens in Regulation (76.39%). And, when he did miss the green, Hovland’s short game was superb managing to get up and down 82.35% of attempts.
With his win, Hovland moves to 4th in the 2021/22 FedExCup standings.
