Scotty Cameron
In 1991, after working with the Ray Cook Golf Company, Scotty worked with Maxfli, Cleveland Classics, Founder's Golf and Mizuno. In 1992 he and his wife Kathy started Cameron Golf International. Their goal was to design the finest putters for the best players in the world. The year 1993 was a turning point for Scotty and Kathy's company, when one of their putters was used to win the Masters.
During the PLAYERS Championship in 1994 well known teaching pro Peter Kostis approached Scotty and mentioned that Titleist was interested in his company to design putters. The next day Scotty received a call from Wally Uihlein, CEO of Acushnet Company, and they agreed to meet. After several meetings, it was clear they shared the same vision and a relationship was formed. In September of 1994, Cameron Golf International and Acushnet Company became partners. The rest is history.
