Moonah Links
Moonah Links is arguably one of the most comprehensive golf resorts in Victoria. The beautiful Mornington Peninsula inspired the creation of Moonah Links. The Resort was designed to complement. rather than dominate the beauty of this landscape. Legendary Peter Thomson used the ancient, undulating dunes and natural contours of this land to shape and design the now famous Open Course, which played host to the Australian Open Golf Championship in 2003 and 2005 and is home to the Victorina PGA Championships. The sandy soil rewards us with year-round playability. Moonah Links boasts two championship golf courses, which you can make your own. The Open Course, measuring 6783m, is our championship links course designed by Peter Thomson. A natural stadium layout with wide undulating fairways of pure couch grass, punctuated with pot bunkers and leading onto large multi-teared greens, makes this course a true test for all levels of golfer. The Open Course offers 5, 14 and 18 holes of golf. The Legends Course stands as a tribute to past champions who have contributed to the rich history of Australian golf. The Legends Course was designed by Ross Perrett and is a more friendly golfing experience for players of all ages and abilities. At 6320m, the course is a loop of 18 holes that generally follows the valleys through a variety of landscapes ranging from ancient Moonah Woodlands to open links land. The fairways are generous and the putting surfaces gentle, but bunkering style is bold and wild in appearance.
