The all-new TaylorMade 2021 TP5 and TP5x are the latest Tour-performance golf balls rolled out by the company.
The likes of major champions Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa played the new ball in their respective 2021 opening competition. As did Tour stars Rickie Fowler, Tommy Fleetwood and Matthew Wolff.
The speedy validation of some of the game’s best players speaks volumes to the superior performance of the new TP5/TP5x.
The secret of success with the latest TP5/TP5x is found in its aerodynamically designed new Tour flight dimple pattern. TaylorMade’s revolutionary dimple design features a unique dual-radius shape that decouples dimple volume from depth. This optimises airflow around the golf ball during its flight. The reduction in drag promotes greater carry and distance.
The new Tour flight dimple pattern is the newest technological advancement in the successful life of the TP5/TP5x.
Back in 2017, TaylorMade debuted the game’s only five-layer Tour golf ball. Its four increasingly stiff layers wrapped in cast urethane were the foundation for optimising distance and spin.
Then in 2019, the trail-blazing company introduced high-flex material into the construction of the golf ball to provide a new level of speed.
The new TP5/TP5x presents individual enhancements to give all levels of golfers the ultimate performance where they need it.
The TP5 offers a softer feel, more spin around the greens and a lower launch when compared to the TP5x. The TP5x provides a firmer feel and higher launch on iron shots. According to TaylorMade the TP5x is the company’s fastest and longest ball.
