The adidas ZG model is on the move…with the launch of the ZG21 Motion.
adidas Golf leapt into 2021 with the remarkable ZG21—a new category of spiked footwear that ushered in the latest era in lightweight golf shoes.
In a massive step toward achieving the company’s mission to help end plastic waste, the new adidas ZG21 Motion is a more sustainable version of the ZG21. ZG21 Motion includes a revolutionary upper made with recycled materials. The environmentally friendly and engineered textile with a unique design look features a special protective to wick moisture. ZG21 Motion offers a one-year waterproof warranty.
The innovative upper is the major change in the ZG21 model, which adidas committed nearly two years in production to finish the product they felt got everything right. adidas says the high-performance ZG21 spiked shoe gives all golfers lightweight and extremely comfortable footwear without any compromises.
Presenting a sleek design, the exciting ZG21 Motion features adidas BOOST cushioning and is up to 20% lighter than the company’s comparable spiked models. BOOST coupled with Lightstrike technology offers golfers lightweight comfort and stability with every golf swing and step. Lightstrike is a first in golf and has been used in Basketball and Tennis to provide athletes with better shock absorption and quick recovery.
World No. 1 Dustin Johnson raved about ZG21, “I couldn’t believe how light these were when I put them on. ZG21 Motion uses an ultra-light stability fin to provide a locked-in feel throughout the swing. The durable TPU insert is positioned in the lateral sidewall for increased lateral stability.
Golfers require maximum traction where it’s most needed, whether they are walking on undulating ground or, swinging the club. Based on heat-map studies, adidas developed Swingplane Traction to target the areas that required grip the most. ZG21 Motion contains six strategically placed cleats.
New for this season, ZG21 Motion Boa contains a sock-like opening for a customised fit and added stability. Powered by the company’s BOA Fit System, the new PerformFit Wrap includes a ‘Y’-strap design. To ensure a higher level of performance, the advanced figuration wraps around the foot for a more secure fit. ZG21 Motion Boa is available in men’s and women’s sizing.
