NEW GEAR
Callaway Chrome Soft X LS Golf Ball
Callaway has launched the Chrome Soft X LS golf ball, which offers tour performance with incredible feel.
The new X LS joins the successful Chrome Soft family that includes Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft X. Chrome Soft is Callaway’s No. 1 selling golf ball. Chrome Soft X is the company’s tour ball and used in competition by Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele and Phil Mickelson.
Chrome Soft X LS is a 4-piece golf ball that is pitched at low handicap golfers.
Callaway’s latest arrival is engineered for maximum distance and Tour level short game control and contains a number of technological advancements.
Chrome Soft X LS features a large SoftFast Core to increase ball speed off the clubface to help golfers ‘bomb it’ off the tee. The combination of the single core construction and the Dual Mantle System creates high resilience and generates faster ball speeds to increase overall distances. The innovative Dual Mantle System includes the soft inner mantle and the highly resilient firm outer mantle.
Featuring optimised Aero Design to reduce drag, Chrome Soft X LS produces a consistent and penetrating ball flight with lower spin characteristics from longer clubs. This enables straighter and longer launch for a better long game.
When it comes to benefitting the short game, Chrome Soft X LS achieves excellent feel and maximum greenside spin control due to its extremely durable thin propriety urethane cover.
Australia's Marc Leishman, who owns five PGA Tour titles, is currently using the new Callaway Chrome Soft X LS golf ball in competition.
