Nelly Korda Returns To World No. 1 After Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship Win
America’s Nelly Korda delivered a stunning playoff victory over Ryann O’Toole at the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship. Korda drained a 12-foot putt for a birdie at the first extra hole at Palos Verdes Golf Club in California to take the title and return to No. 1 in the world rankings.
Korda, aged 25, closed with a 2-under 69 to reach 9-under. It her second victory this season after claiming the Drive On Championship in January and 10th career LPGA TOUR title.
O’Toole poured in a par putt from 20 feet at the final green in regulation play to sign for a 5-under 66 on Sunday. The American grazed the lip of the cup with her birdie attempt from 15 feet in the playoff.
