Matt Jones

2021 The Honda Classic

Australian Matt Jones scored a stunning five-shot win at The Honda Classic.

The 40-year-old from Sydney, managed his game with ease in gusty conditions in Florida to produce his second PGA Tour title.

The Jack Nicklaus-designed PGA National Champion Course demands precision shot-making. Jones put on an exhibition of brilliant ball-striking on Sunday, when he found 11 of 14 fairways and 17 of 18 greens in regulation.

Jones led the field in shots gained tee to green for the week. He poured in 20 birdies over the 72 holes—the most birdies by any player.

At the opening round on Thursday, Jones fired a remarkable 9-under 61 to equal the course record. The incredible round was 10.5 shots better than the field average on that day.

Here’s a look at what is in his bag.
